Having a social media account both benefits me & harms me at the same time. Well, I wouldn't necessarily say harm but, at times, it can be quite a distraction for me, although, if I prioritize my studies first, I think, there is no problem with that. With the 21st century being the age where technology is very much alive and such, it benefits me by helping me communicate better with loved ones abroad and it definitely helps in doing my tasks faster.
I believe so that social media has taught me to be socially responsible, since the internet has exposed me to trolls and haters and such, and making me learn from other's mistakes.
And as a daughter, a friend and a student, I think social media, has made me more social sensitive with other's feelings due as stated above, because of other people's mistakes, I have learned from them myself. As a daughter, It has affected in me in such a way, since my parents' jobs require them to leave the country at some times, I use it to communicate with them. And as for being both a friend & a student, I'd believe that, it too helps me communicate with friends far away and has somehow improved and helped me build relationships. Finally, as a student, it helps me with research and school activities and better communications with peers and such outside of school.

As a Grade 8 MCMS student, social media benefits me in communication, arts, knowledge, self confidence and discipline but social media has disadvantages for me such as inappropriate sites show for fame, cyberbullying and it is a distraction against studying. Social media teaches me social responsibility through its' advantages and disadvantages but when it comes to being socially insensitive, the media has no security in posting inappropriate pictures and censoring for bad words which almost influencing me into being irresponsible. As a daughter and a friend, it influences me into posting bad posts although in a positive way, it helps me in communicating with everyone i know. It affects me as a student when there are strangers trying to stalk me, when there are ads that are lies in he media and it is a big distraction in other sites. Although it helps me in finding information i need for my studies, and helps me in individual and group projects. My friends and family are also affected by the positive and negative effects of social media but they also go to internet games which make them even more distracted until they lose track of time. I will create one in the future but I know my responsibilities, so I will use it in the future but i will only use it when needed or when i have free time. Therefore, i will limit my time in using the internet in a few minutes and go straight to my homeworks and chores. Social media or the internet may have its' up and downs but it should me appreciated and developed in the future because if not, we won't be able to have communication and knowledge. Even though we can do these things with the use of books and sessions with teachers, we wouldn't have went this far without social media. this is very well-said and is very accurate regarding the topic

Having social media accounts affects my life more now that I am in the grade 8 level because it acts more as a distraction or a bad influence. For instance, when I post something online and someone takes it personally even if it was not my intention, I might be harmed. Another example is when I post or share my personal information online, I am putting myself in harm's way as well, therefore, I could say that having social media accounts leads you to harm. Since people around the world have the freedom to post anything to anyone or simply for the world to see, in my opinion, it does change people's social sensitivity and responsibility.
From my experience, my presence in social media affects me as a daughter, because I would often disrespect my parents and and I would always delay my obedience to them. As a friend, it affects me because I forget to keep in touch with them andI would also forget to ask them how they are as well, but if my friends have social media accounts as well, I always make sure that I keep in touch with them regularly. As a student, it affects because as I said earlier, having social media accounts acts more like a distraction because my attention is drawn away from my studies. If in present, I do not have social media accounts, even if I do have some, the observations I would see from my family and friends would be the same as what my parents would observe when I use the internet, which is using it for several hours without stopping.
This is very informative and accurate, I very much agree with your words...

I have benefited so much from social media. I have learned the essence of communication online, being aware of news and updates, researching that has helped me in certain school projects and so much more. Coming from its bad side, it has also taught me a lot. I have been a victim of Cyberbullying and it has made me aim to be more aware and to be cautious of my actions online and in the real world. But everything has a negative effect, although I have explored so much, social media has made me less active in the real world. I have somehow lost interest in escaping the walls of my room for I am too scared of how I won’t see the latest trends and updates. How ironic it is for my social media presence to be far more superior than my physical presence. Online, I am a real person and alive. Offline, I tend to be bored with doing outdoor activities. But somehow I tend to be better and realistic with the help of my mistakes. Right now I am more social with people and limit my time using the internet. Your answer is very practical! I can relate xD. Good job!

As a grade 8 student, I think that social media is important in my life because it helps me communicate with my family and relatives who are out of town. Social media affects my life in a sense that I get distracted especially when I need to do my assignments. Honestly, I am not that in to posting or tweeting pictures and videos online. I just post if it's really a special occasion that I want to share. But I can say that social media can be beneficial because I am knowing more news that are important.
Social media is teaching social responsibility in a way that I know when to do or stop going online. As a daughter, I am learning more ways to show respect and love to my family even though I know that social media is for the public and they are posting random things. As a friend, I can get ideas on how to share things I learned from videos that are suitable for me and my friends. As a student, I could be updated to what is happening in school or in our country. And I hope to what I am saying right now, I could help others to be aware in using social media effectively.

As a Grade 8 student, social media affects my life for a number of reasons. First is through the means of communication. I get to contact my friends and family not just locally but internationally as well as easy as ABC. Second, it can help me get information without even trying to. News on sports, Hollywood and a lot more giving me entertainment and guide in school. And lastly, it can help me get answers to almost all questions - may it be educational or for entertainment. These are some of the benefits of social media. But how about its disadvantages? First and for most, I believe that social media is distracting. We intend to get distracted that we forget what our priorities are. Notifications pop up once in a while and the moment we touch our gadgets, our hands, eyes and mind gets glued to it. We can’t stop which may lead us to cram with school requirements. Second, it limits us from using our imagination and exploring the world to discover more. Typing is our way of learning and not thinking anymore. Because of social media, we don't get to sharpen our knowledge because we are blinded by lots of things that may not really be helpful in our daily lives. And finally, because we seem to be too attached with our gadgets, we forget about the people we are with and we don't get to use our golden time making priceless moments and memories. Therefore, even though we find social media really fun and beneficial, we have to be aware of its disadvantages and its impact on our life. People these days - especially kids and teenagers - have to be extra careful when using social media because we intend to get influenced easily with latest stuffs like fashion.
Social media teaches me social responsibility. I make it a habit to think first before posting. I do this because I know that one word or picture can mean different to other people because we have different perspectives. So to avoid misunderstandings, I think of how my post will make different people react - will they take it the good way or the bad way? Social media affects me as a daughter because I get to communicate with my parents when they are away on a vacation or just in the office. I use social media to ask and tell them my problems and stories. Social media affects me as friend too. I get to communicate with my friends when working on projects or surprises. And if my friend is abroad, we use social media to tell each other stories and events that has happened. And as a student, social media affects me by helping me with my studies. It could help me get ideas and information that I may find useful for school. Although social media may be distracting, I know that if we use it carefully, we can avoid harm and its disadvantages.

As a Grade 8 student and going to graduate this year, having social media harms me more than benefiting me. It only benefits me because it allows me to communicate with my friends and classmates. For most of the time, after talking about the things to do in school, the conversation drifts off to something more casual and off topic that it becomes distracting. Having said that it is distracting, it is one of the reasons why I end up procrastinating most of my homework (as of you see right now I'm typing this a day before submission) and being irresponsible. One of the examples I can give you is when you have that situation that you remember something that is due the following day but you haven't done anything about it for the whole day and wasting your time on social media, talking to friends or wasting time on it. Thus causing you to have low grades and regret in the end. As a daughter it makes me oblivious to my family and what they are talking about, solely because I spend way too much time on my phone, scrolling through social media and talking to my friends.
Social media is neutral, so it depends on the person whether it will teach them social responsibility or to cause them to be socially insensitive. I observed that social media helps foster social responsibility because when people do something bad in public, they get criticized and shamed by netizens making them realize what they have done wrong and that's how they learn to be better people, and they learn from it. From observing this, this is what social media teaches me. Social media doesn't cause me social insensitivity but it does for some others. It causes them social insensitivity because using the internet, you can post anything you want to say but you just have to be mindful of the people around you. Some people just post anything they want, become unaware of other people's feelings and unbeknownst to them, they are hurting that person's feelings already.

As a Grade 8 student, social media benefits me in communication, knowledge, and just for fun. I can communicate with friends. Through the Internet, I can talk to people I have never met before, even if it's just through one message. I can catch up on the latest announcements, whether it be about my favourite artist or a suspension of classes. I am able to learn things that you can't find in a regular textbook online, like random facts or things you need to pack before moving into a dorm. For fun, I can listen to music or read and laugh at relatable posts online. However, it also harms me because it can be a distraction. For example, if my phone is beside me when I study, most of the time, notifications pop up and I am conflicted on whether to reply to a message or continue doing my homework. Social media teaches me social responsibility. This is because I get to think on if what I post is good or if it is bad. Unfortunately though, a lot of content which aren't meant for younger people aren't censored. Because of this, I sometimes accidentally look at things which aren't meant to be seen. My social media presence doesn't really affect me as a daughter, but it affects me as a friend in a good way because I can communicate with my friends even if I'm not face to face with them. As a student, it affects me because as I said earlier, it can be a distraction because sometimes, when I'm studying, I can be thinking of a new theme for my Instagram feed or thinking of the latest updates in my fandom. Because of this, my attention is drawn away from what I am supposed to be studying. In conclusion, social media has different uses and can teach a lot of things, good or bad. *bow* I liked the part where you stated your opinion about censorship. Good job!

As a grade 8 student in my perspective I think we can benefit from not using and using the internet because these two for me is actually equal, they have the pros and cons of manipulating them. First, the benefit of using the internet is that you can contact your family and friends, research and search worksheets so that we can exercise our brains and by researching we can be aware of the things we don’t know. The disadvantage of using the internet is, if we’re using them to play and be a distraction to our studies or works I think the best way is to turn them off for awhile because if not we can be tempted to use them. That’s what I hate about social medias it can be a distraction for all of us. Second, the benefit of not using the internet is we can concentrate on the things we are working on in this way we can finish our works quickly. Other benefit is we can exercise our physical structure like playing our traditional games and we can be healthy when we are doing this, unlike playing video games. When you are searching in the books the disadvantage of this is, we cannot search the things we need easily because it’s hard when you search in books it will take time to get what you’re looking for. And another disadvantage is you are not updated on what’s going on around you like the hashtags and trends.
At the end of the day despite all the opinions each and everyone said, it’s up to the person on what side she’ll/he’ll take. As I see it, these two are mostly the same. Some people might see it in a different way because it’s their opinion and no one can’t judge them. It’s only the way i see it Thank you

As a grade 8 student, social media affect our lives in positive and negative way. In positive ways, were able to show a different side of us, and that side of us somehow becomes a person we want to be in real life. I have noticed that i am more confident and more of the real me on the internet. In the negative side, people are able to catch things that are supposedly not to be learned in a certain young age. Social media teaches us social responsibility in a way that we learn what not post, and what not say. It also teaches us that what we do on the net could reflect to our own personality.
My social media presence does not affect me as a daughter as much as a friend. So as a friend my social media presence affects me in a good way because we are able to talk about recent happening across the world or on the net. As a student, it is somehow a distraction because sometimes we don’t get things done.
